Jade Lady

Jade Lady is a two-masted Bermuda-rigged schooner, like vessels sailing since the 17th century.  She was designed by George Sutton, the renowned steel boat architect and builder (Sutton Boat Works) of Tarpon Springs, FL and St. Augustine, FL.  She was built in St. Augustine by Dennis Schreiber, a well-known steel boat builder who collaborated with George Sutton.  She was purchased by her original owner, a shipwright himself, who spent two years finishing the interior with solid teak, mahogany, and ash, completing this classic one-of-a-kind schooner.  Jade Lady Specifications:

LOA: 55 ft 0 in
Beam: 12 ft 10 in
LWL: 38 ft 0 in
Maximum Draft: 6 ft 0 in

Jade Lady has rounded bilges (rolled steel) - an unusual feature on steel boats of this size, most of which are hard chine.  She is a dream to sail, with a sea kindly motion in a variety of conditions, and a fair turn of speed as proven by her trophies from several Great Schooner Races.  Jade Lady has voyaged more than 30,000 miles and is known throughout New England, the Chesapeake, Bermuda and the far corners of the Caribbean.  She now calls the Great Lakes home.  Jade Lady and her captain are eager to share their love of sailing and this wonderful vessel with you.  Jade Lady, while a traditional vessel, has all the latest Coast Guard safety electronics and gear and is inspected and certified for charter service.

Looking forward to seeing you aboard Jade Lady!
